Background and vision
The Alyatim association has been working for many years to improve the lives of orphaned children. Our mission is not limited to providing food and shelter, we are also committed to the health and well-being of these vulnerable children. Among the challenges these youngsters face, vision problems are often overlooked. Many orphaned children suffer from undiagnosed and untreated vision disorders, which can hinder their education and development.
Objectives
- Organize in-depth eye examinations for every orphan child cared for by the Alyatim association.
- Work closely with medical professionals to diagnose and treat any visual condition.
- Providing quality eyewear to those who need it, to improve their quality of life and help them succeed in school.
- Extend our efforts to include the brothers, sisters and mothers of orphaned children.
Project activities
- Organization of a series of eye examinations for orphaned children and their brothers, sisters and mothers.
- Collaboration with ophthalmologists and optometrists
- Diagnose visual problems and recommend appropriate treatments.
- Community awareness campaigns to promote eye care.
- Providing needy children with quality eyeglasses.
Challenges
- Raise sufficient funds to pay for eye tests, treatment and glasses.
- Coordinate eye examinations with healthcare professionals to ensure quality care.
- Raise awareness of the importance of eye care within the community and families.
